So I’m at the gym Monday night on the treadmill watching the Premiere of Ego Trip’s new reality show “Miss Rap Supreme, hosted by MC Serch, and Rap star YoYo.
.
I’m watching the constants as they come up to introduce who they are, where they from, spit their rhyme, and it surprised me when I saw Miss My Neck, My Back Khia come out as one of the contestants. Then I got to thinking, oh so that’s why she’s been talking a lot of sh%t about everybody lately. Trina, Wendy, Janet it was all about that free promotion as she states on her Myspace page.
I have a hard time understanding why some people feel the need put another person down in order to bring themselves up. Some of us spend too much time worrying about the wrong things, when the only thing you should be worried about is yourself. I am sick and tried of women in this industry put each other down thinking it will make them look better.
For example last night on the show Ms. Cherry ( and I’m hearing that she has a baby by singer T- pain) was calling Khia a one hit wonder. What does that have to do with you? Now I will give credit where credit is due, and I will give Khia props because she did get out here and sell 800,000 records on her own without help from a major label or a big name artist on her track.
People don’t realize how much easier life would be if we worked together instead of against each other. Instead of Khia and Ms Cherry fighting they should be schooling the rest of the girls in the house on what they need to know about the entertainment industry. But then I guess you wouldn’t have a show without the drama.
All I’m trying to say ladies is, lets stop all this Bitchassness. I am so thankful to have a circle full of wonderful female friends. Some of us do the same-thing, have the same jobs, and even share common dreams. But one thing about us is we help each other, we look out for each other, we don’t put each other down and we have each others back. Working together is so much easier than working against one another you should try it sometimes. And if the only way you can get ahead in life is by putting somebody down, then you’re not really getting ahead you’re just hating and those are Twana’s Thoughts.
