So I was over at Sandra Rose spot this weekend and was listening to the audio from this Sergeant Willie Pete guy. And I was disturbed by what he had to say about Lauren London and women in general. First off let me say that a woman has the right to be attracted to whatever type of man she chooses to be attracted to. If she like a thug then so be it, that’s her choice. I talk about my thick neck big back thugs all the time, and I’ll be dammed if somebody call me a bitch or calls me ignorant because of the type of men I choose to like.
This guy went so hard on Actress Lauren London because of the comment she made in an interview with King Magazine. Before I go into my rant check out what Lauren’s said so we’ll all be on the same page.
KING: So you want a man who’s both honest and thug?
London: An authentic gangsta—that deletes about half the rap game off your list. I love guys who are street. I won’t even give soft guys a chance. Menace II Societyis my shit! Caine was like my first crush. Actually, O-Dog was my true dream guy. I was in love with him, from that opening scene where he pops the convenience-store worker. He had me from that gunshot [laughs]. He was ’hood, and I loved that.
Ok now listen to what Willy Wonka had to say in response to this interview.
My thing is why are you so upset, you say you’re tired of a woman for the type of man she chooses, that’s stupid and what does that have to do with you. The real question is, are you tired because she’s not choosing you? Do you like Lauren London or something?
I’ve had this conversation with my friends time and time again about the men I choose to date. I date a man who’s street, but also respects me that’s number one. I don’t care if you’re a thug or whatever you have to respect me. I have zero tolerance for disrespect. Second I like a man who knows how to handle his business and take care of home. You have to be able to hold your own and not depend on anyone for anything. Somebody who has swagger and let me say swagger is something you can not create, you either got it or you don’t. And somebody who loves God and Loves there mother.
I’ve dated street guys and all street guys aren’t what everybody portrays them to be. I actually prefer to day a street guy. I don’t get into what my man does in the streets. That’s not my place just as long as he doesn’t bring it home. So does this make me an ignorant black woman because of what I like and what I choose to date? NO!!!!!!

All the brotha is saying is if you want a thug so be it, but dont bitch and complain about it when u see the brotha with the non black chick. you say that is your choice and you like what you like, cool just dont complain if that thug knocks you up and dont take care of his kids.

I think the point is being missed. Why would any person who respects themselves go for someone who could get them killed, put in jail, raped, pregnant and left alone, etc. You shouldn’t want someone who could do any of the following. Every human being is capable of misdeeds but black women seem to attract to the nigger mentality and then want to sit around and complain when they are not treated right. You don’t want someone who is soft but yet there are a lot of “soft” dudes that will support their woman, pay for whatever, help them mentally physically or spiritually, and just overall help to support their queendom. You don’t want that? I know a lot of dudes who would be considered soft that if pushed or their woman harassed would start world war 3 and win it. The point is… stop fucking with niggers that will only get you so far in regards to positivity but take you all the way down the road of negativity. You should want someone who will uplift you and help you to become greater and never let you fall in to a situation that will harm you. The only type of woman who doesn’t want a man who can truly better her is a woman who lacks self esteem. Oh and just because someone calls you a fool for being a fool doesn’t mean they mad because you are not dating them. Only an immature person would even ask that type of question.
