I’m quite sure you’ve heard the news by now about Real Housewives of Atlanta Star Kandi Burress ex Fiance Ashley “AJ” Jewell, who was killed Friday night outside of the popular Atlanta strip club Body Tap. According to my sources AJ received a blow to the head during an altercation that took place outside in the club parking lot. AJ was rushed to Piedmont Hospital where he was later pounced dead. Although I’m hearing different stories about what actually happened I do know there were no guns or knives involved as being reported, and I’m also hearing the police have arrested a person of interest in this crime. The person is currently being treated at a local hospital here in Atlanta and once released will be taken into custody.
AJ just recently became Co-Owner of The Body Tap Strip Club, he’s also the father of 6 children two of which Kandi has legal custody of an was helping him raise. Kandi released a statement earlier today via twitter asking for everyone’s prayers and support during this difficult time.
“I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their prayers. I gotta get up and go to my uncle’s funeral. I could never in a million years imagine this happening. Please pray for AJ’s children. That’s who I’m the most concerned for. I’m just in one of those moods where I don’t wanna talk, I don’t wanna be held and told it’s gonna be okay. I just wanna cry myself 2 sleep, alone”
My condolences go out to AJ’s Kids, Kandi and the rest of the Jewell family.
What ever happened last night at Body Tap was a senseless crime that left 6 kids fatherless and whole lot of family & friends mourning the dealth of a loved one. We have to stop this violence people!!!!!! RIP AJ
