Gabby Sidibe took home yet another award last week for “Best Actress” at the Independent Spirit Awards. I really like this girl and I’m glad to see black Hollywood embracing and giving something different a chance to be a star in.

I’m all about “Team Gabby’ tonight and hopes she take home the big “O” for Best Actress at the Oscars….

Speaking of Gabby she recently spoke about Chris Rock grabbing her booty when he presented her with the NAACP Image award for Best Actress.

As I go up to get my award in a room where my dad is, because he’s one of my dates, Chris Rock grabbed my butt with both of his hands – and then I slapped him back. I didn’t think too much of it at all, but my dad was super p*ssed.

Some dudes gotta have it – it’s my own fault for being too damn fine.

Hahah I really love this girl & I so hope she wins tonight at the Oscars…. #TeamGabby #TeamGabby #TeamGabby!!!!!!

And the award for weirdest arrival on the Grammy’s red carpet goes to Lady Gaga…. She arrived wearing a custom made dress by Giorgio Armani and carrying some type of star….. Lady Gaga is known for being weird & she wasn’t going to stop at the red carpet. Check out her death trap performance with Elton John & outfit # 2 below:

The 3rd Annual BET Honors took place this past weekend in Washington DC. And the event was hosted by Gabrielle Union with performances by Jennifer Hudson, Trey Songz, Stevie Wonder, Maxwell, Jazmine Sullivan, India Arie, Jazmine Sullivan, Pattie Labelle, & Mary J. Blige. This year’s honorees were Sean “P Diddy” Combs, Whitney Houston, and Queen Latifah. The show will premier during Black History Month on Monday February 1st at 9pm.

Congratulation to actress/comedian Monique for winning a Golden Globe for “Best Supporting Actress” in the motion picture “Precious”.

In her acceptance speech she gave a heartfelt thank you to her husband whom she known since she was 14years old, director Lee Daniels, & Gabourey Sidibe who played Precious.

“Lee Daniels, the world gets a chance to see how brilliant you are. You are a brilliant, fearless, amazing director who would not waver, and thank you for trusting me to be Mary Jones in this movie. A lot of people on twitter was talking about Nick holding his wife Mariah’s umberlla last night on the red carpet. Me personally I didn’t see anything wrong I mean that is her husband did we forget????

The best part of Mo’Nique’s acceptance speech to me was when she gave thanks to her husband.

“When I look into the eyes of the man I stood next to at 14 years old and I said to him, ‘One day we’re going to be stars, and he said, ‘You first. And we walked this red carpet together tonight. Sidney, I will love you more than you will ever know, baby.”

Aww my heart just melted when she said that.   It’s nothing like being with a person who’s been on your team and supported your dreams since day one I love it!!!!!!  Couples like  Mo’Nique & Sidney, Nick & Mariah, Jay Z & Beyonce even TIP and Tiny inspire me so much.
