The rap/business mogul & my bff in my head hubby is looking dapper in his Tom Ford suite as he opens up about his relationship with his father.

“If your dad died before you were born, yeah, it hurts — but it’s not like you had a connection with something that was real… My dad was such a good dad that when he left, he left a huge scar… I bet [my dad] didn’t believe he’d spaz out and leave either.”

Who knew rapper Jay Z recently won an Emmy???? (I sure as hell didn’t)

After doing a little research I found out that Mr. Carter recently won his first Emmy Award for Outstanding Music Composition/Direction/Lyrics, for his performance of “Run This Town” at Super Bowl XLIV.

The proud poppa to be snapped a pic of his shinning trophy and posted it on his website dedicating it to his old stomping grounds Marcy Projects….

This past weekend Rihanna tweeted that her upcoming album “Talk That Talk” would feature a special guest.

Well the special guest who Rih Rih was referring too is non other than her boss/mentor Jay Z, who will be featured on the first single and title track “Talk That Talk”.

Producer Stargate who produced the track spilled the tea to a Norwegian website when he discussed working on Rih Rih’s upcoming project.

“This is the first time we do a song with Jay-Z and Rihanna together. Actually it’s the first time Jay does anything on our beats,”

He also stated:

“Talk That Talk’ is a mid-tempo banger with hard drums, dirty synths, and Rihanna and Jay at their best. We are very happy with the song and Jay’s verse is crazy—same with Rihanna’s part.”

This isn’t the first time Jay Z & Rihanna collaborated on a track in the past, Hov appeared on her hit single “Umbrella” and Rihanna performed the hook on his hit single “Run This Town” featuring Kanye West.

I can’t wait for the song to leak, I’m anxious to here what the track sounds like…

Kelly Rowland was spotted on the red carpet of Cosmopolitan’s Ultimate Television Personality at the Ultimate Women Awards last night in London where she broke the news that my bff in my head Beyonce Jay Z was having a baby girl…

“I’m so happy for my sister and her husband. They’re so happy in this moment right now, as they should be. They’ve made a little bundle of love, I’m so excited for them.

“I have no idea what I’m going to buy Beyonce at the baby shower because Jay is going to buy that little girl every single thing possible. She won’t be spoiled but she will be very well looked-after.

“I’ll be on hand for babysitting duties and I’m actually very good with messy diapers!”

Ohhhhh I hope Beyonce isn’t mad at Kelly for slipping up & telling the world the sex of their unborn child….

Dr. Michael Eric Dyson revealed that he will be teaching a course revolving around hip hop mogul Jay Z this fall At Georgetown University.

The class will cover Jay-Z’s book “Decoded,” Adam Bradley’s “Book of Rhymes,” Zack O’Malley Greenburg’s “Empire State of Mind,” as well as other articles and films about hip-hop in general.

In a recent interview with MTV Dr. Dyson stated:

“Jay-Z is one of the greatest entertainers of the world today. Not only is he a remarkable rhetorical genius, he’s also a man of deep sympathy and empathy for those who are lost and vulnerable, but especially under-educated youth of all cultures and stripes. I admire the way in which he carries himself and the incredible craft that he displays every time he steps up to the microphone.”

Inside, he speaks on if he feels intimidated by Drake’s success. And he also discuss his perception of the competition with other rappers as well as the repercussions behind his recent diss towards Jay Z.

On competing with other rappers (Jay Z) in the industry:

“There’s no competition [with any artists]. Music isn’t about competition no more. All the gangster rappers are happy, all the skateboard rappers are happy, all the white rappers are happy… Everybody just happy to do music these days. There are no problems. That sh*t died a long time ago with them old-ass rappers. We are just making music, making money and having fun feeding our families. Competition is for the old guys.”

On Drake being his competition:

I don’t look at it like that. Drake is my artist. If he wasn’t my artist, then yeah maybe. But that’s my artist. He’s not [just] a friend. We’re more than friends. It’s business. It would be impossible for it to be a competition. I mean, I’m the guy’s boss.

On being afraid of Jay Z’s reaction to the line in his track when he say “I got your baby money/Kidnap your bitch, get that how-much-you-love-your-lady money.” Are we looking at it the wrong way?”:

I know for a fact, music is about perception. You can’t do anything but perceive what you hear. If I know that for a fact, I can never be upset about someone’s reaction to it.

I’m not gonna say I don’t know what will happen before I say it [on record]. I do know what will happen. I am aware of it. It is what it is. I’m a man. I believe as a man you should know that. Every man should know the repercussions and consequences behind whatever they do before they do it. And of course, I know there won’t be any repercussions behind what I did.

Rapper/Business mogul, Jay-Z held a press conference yesterday in his hometown Brooklyn, to announce that he will be moving the New Jersey Nets to Brooklyn, New York & changing their name to the Brooklyn Nets.

In a brief statement, Jay Z announced the new home for the Brooklyn Nets will be The Barclay Center in Brooklyn which is minutes away from the Marcy Housing projects where he grew up. The new arena is scheduled to open on September 28, 2012.

“From the moment the Barclays Center became a reality, I knew this meant something significant for Brooklyn. “This is where I’m from, I’ll always be Brooklyn, and opening this arena will mean more to me than anywhere else. I also look forward to opening night for the Brooklyn Nets. We’re going to create an atmosphere like only Brooklyn can.”

He also stated that the new arena has already had a positive impact on Brooklyn by bringing many jobs to the community:

“It’s already created so many jobs, there are lots of vendors. I like that, you know what it is, it’s deep love. Biggie had a line ‘spread love, that’s the Brooklyn way.’ It’s a deep love we have for our heroes. We walk around with that.”

Season tickets are expected to go on sale in March of 2012 and Jay is planing to perform a series of concerts along with his wife aka my bff in my head Beyonce in Sept 2012 to help put the 18,000 seat arena on the map.

Last night R&B singer Alicia Keys was spotted at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas rocking it out for the IHEARTRADIO Music festival.

The Grammy Award winning songbird, dressed in all black everything hit the stage & performed a few of her hit songs including “Empire State of Mind with Jay Z.

She also debuted a new track off her upcoming album titled ‘A Place Of My Own”, she told the sold out crowd:

“I’ve been in the studio working on some new music and I thought tonight would be the perfect night to play something new for you,”
