Mo’Nique took home yet another award for best supporting actress in the film “ Precious” at the Independent Spirit Awards last week. She’s been on a winning streak lately and hopefully she can win big later tonight at the Oscars.

Speaking of Monique in an upcoming interview with Barbara Walters she discussed her “Open Marriage” with Husband Sidney. Despite the fact she’s never cheated on her husband Mo’Nique admits that he’s allowed to sleep with other women if he wants.

“Let me say this: I have not had sex outside my marriage with Sidney,” the Academy Award nominee says in this year’s 29th – and final – Barbara Walters Oscar special.

We’ve been best friends for over 25 years, and we truly know who we are. Oftentimes, people get into marriages and they don’t know who they’re laying next to. I’m very comfortable and secure with my husband.”

If they like I love it!!!! But I’ll tell you what there’s no way in hell I will ever tell my husband it’s ok for him to sleep with another woman…. Absolutely not, that type of relationship is just not for me!!!!!!!!And what type of man would be ok with allowing his wife sleeping with another man????

Me personally I don’t understand “Open Marriage’s” and will never commit to being in one. Sidney will mess around and get his “head cracked” messing with a girl like me talking that open marriage sh*t I’m just saying lol!!!!!!!

I think Mo ‘Nique’s hairy legs received more attention at the Golden Globes than her actual win. I’m not a fan of hairy legs, me personally I think the only part of a woman’s body should be covered with hair is on the top of her head. However each woman is different & if she likes legs hairy then so be it!!!!! I don’t know what the big deal is because Mo’Nique discussed why she never shaves her legs during a past appearance on the view.

Mo’Nique will be on the cover of Essence Magazine for the October issue.  Mo revealed to Essence that she was molested as a child by her own brother, she talks about relationships, and her recent weight loss.   Check out a few clips from her interview below;

Surviving sexual abuse and refusing to be a victim:
“I’m not excited to talk about this. I can’t do this anymore. I can’t pretend.”

Weight loss and her fab new look:
“We should all want to live healthy lives because we don’t want to be in a
position where there are things we can’t do and places we can’t go. My
husband said to me one day, `I want you for a lifetime.’ Then it clicked
 that my weight had become a major concern. I wanted to be around for my family.”

Turning up the heat in the bedroom:
 “Sex is an important part of a relationship but it isn’t everything. If he’s a good man and you love him and want to make the relationship work, discuss your needs openly and honestly.”

Believing in yourself:
“In my career I’ve met many successful people. Whenever I ask them how they made it, the word “belief” always comes up. I’ll never forget being on the set of `Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins’ with Martin Lawrence. He offered me this advice: `Believe in yourself and never let them tell you what you can’t have.’ I thank you, brother Martin, for that love.”
